One of her favorite presents from TaTa was this Dora tent. Now we just need to expand our house to make room for it.

Nutcracker

Amelia went to her first Nutcracker over the weekend. Amazingly she sat and watched most of the program, except for dancing in the aisle from time to time.

Early Christmas

Amelia got things kicked off early. The Segroves visited this weekend with a carload of presents just for you know who. She is excited about her first tricycle.

Aunt Brandi and Aunt Sabrina played well with Amelia.

December in the Park

Only in Oklahoma would it be 12 one day and 60 the next. Time for some hide and seek in the park.

Jacket As Cape

I taught her one of my favorite styles, wearing the jacket as a cape. Very dashing Amelia!

Santa's Helper

Amelia was a big help putting up the tree. She grabbed one of the first glass balls I put on the tree and quickly smashed it to the floor breaking it. So our tree is bare from the floor to about 4 feet. BTW our little helper went in for her 18 month checkup today and tipped the scales at 27.8 LBS and 34 inches tall.

The Frog Can Drive

Kim and Pat gave Amelia this awesome coupe for Halloween. She loved it and threw quite a fit when it was time to park and go to bed.

NEW MOVIE: Charlie & Amelia's Language

Amelia and Charlie have been in daycare together since they were very little. Charlie was Amelia's first friend at daycare. They quickly developed a special language. I captured a bit of it during the recent Halloween party. Charlie (dressed as Charlie Brown) also ends off the movie with a classic day care cough. Click here to view the movie. Amelia's Halloween Spectacular

I have a record number of pics from Amelia's first Halloween. She was about 4 months old last Halloween and was fast asleep for all the fun. Here we see our neighbor from across the street giving Amelia her first candy of the night.


Grandpa A.V. stopped by for a visit.


Amelia and her Halloween Committee (Mom, Dad, Kim, Pat and of course Rufus) set out for some trick or treating in Gatewood.


Our neighbors really go all out for Halloween. Amelia is mesmerized by the lights and blow up toys in her neighborhood.


And later in the night she takes to her wagon to trick or treat in comfort.

Walking With Family

Amelia had a nice walk with Aunt Brandi, Grandpa Jim and Grandma Janice a few weekends ago. Aunt Sabrina (not pictured) was tending to Rufus.

Halloween Sneak Peak

To our surprise she really enjoyed stomping around in her costume. It continues the theme of her bedroom and one of her favorite toys. Get your candy ready.

Amelia had a blast with these balloons. Running with them, punching them, kicking them, getting caught up in them - so much fun.

Beauty in Denim

As Fall arrives Amelia enjoys a walk in her all denim outfit. Doesn't she look strikingly beautiful? Very much like her Mom I think.

Bella's Chuck -E- Cheese Party

Amelia went to her first birthday party at Chuck-E-Cheese this week.
Her friend Bella turned 3.


Here is the birthday girl who was quite the dancer with old Chuck-E. And she looks great in her "Bling It On" shirt.

Amelia wasn't sure what to think about the dancing rat and his assistant.

Mom tried to get Amelia interested in the slap the mole game.

Ski Ball was challenging. She got very upset when the balls went down the ramp and into the game. She wanted to keep them and run around with them - which we eventually decided was the best thing for her to do.

Park Trip

Amelia had a nice time at the park. She isn't quite sure about swings yet.

She does enjoy the slide.

Classic Toy

Every child needs a classic popper toy. Of course there is a version now with lights and music but we opted for the old standard. Keep training Amelia - you will be mowing the yard by next year.

Dog Walking

Amelia loves to walk Rufus around her block and she is pretty good at it. Except when she drops the leash to examine anything and everything found on the ground. Rufus loves the attention and is just happy to have his picture back online somewhere. His blog has been defunct since Amelia's birth.

Lookin' Sharp

Amelia sports some big girl running shoes that she got this weekend. They go great with her "Yo Heart Tennis" shirt that Aunt Alee brought back from Ecuador. And how can you go wrong with that hat.

Another Beautiful Dress

Thanks Auntie Lo for this beautiful dress. I am finally big enough to wear it.

Cute Dress

Amelia sports a dynamite dress given to her by Auntie Steph. I think she looks very much the Peoples in this picture.

Rock Lady

She is fascinated with rocks, sand, pebbles and similar groundcovering. She must stop and immediately inspect it and collect a handful.


Then she throws handfuls of the material into the air, usually showering herself with it. When she does this in the sandbox her hair gets so caked over we call her Sandy Peoples.
