Braids

All of the sudden she lets us put braids in her hair. This has been off limits since day one.

Yo Gabba Gabba

Amelia's new favorite show is Yo Gabba Gabba. As you might be able to guess the theme of the show is Dance Party. I wish I had her energy.

Archie Comes to Visit

Amelia hosted Archie for a play date a few weeks ago.


She loves Archie but wasn't real crazy about sharing her toys with him. Here she is showing him how to play and then seconds later taking the toy from him.

Valentines Chocolate Overload

Later that night Amelia enjoyed her Dad's molten chocolate cake. So good.

Nightmare Wings

Amelia has been going around whispering "I am your worst nightmare" for several weeks. This was a little strange at first until we realized she picked it up from the Mulan movie and the dragon - voiced over by Eddie Murphy. So now it doesn't seem so scary.

Sleepy time with alex

Amelia played at Alex's house this weekend. The kids were quiet for while so when I went to check on them I found them snuggled up in Alex's bed.

Open Day at Ballet

At the Studio With Uncle Mike

Amelia had a great time with Mike at his studio.


She kept adding clay "diamonds" to the sculpture of this lady and other things to make her a perfect princess.

Snow Play in Santa Fe

We had a great time playing on the sled hill near Ski Santa Fe. Watch Emma and Amelia making their way down the mountain:

Happy New Year

We just returned from Santa Fe where we saw Mike and Lynn.

Amelia has visited three times now (not counting once in-utero). You can see previous trips here: 2005 and 2006

Amelia was an excellent traveler and had a wonderful time. She really enjoyed playing with Lynn and dressing up in her "Mulan Clothes." Check out those great slippers. Watch for more pictures this week.

Christmas Morning Surprise

Hi Santa

Amelia has met the good guy on two occasions this season. If you ask her she will whisper to you what she asked for. Right now Santa is coming in fairly handy for us as a behavior modification tool. He is always watching and the threat of no presents or coal and rocks in a stocking have some effect on her her behavior. But she is growing tired of waiting.

Nope, just out at Lake Hefner in OKC. Sorry for no posts lately. We have been busy.

In addition to the large spider featured in a previous post we now have a large turtle in the front yard.

Home Depot

Amelia loves to go to the hardware store. There are so many things to look at. We try and go to the workshops on Saturdays where we get to build things together. So far she had made a mailbox and basketball goal. And you can't even think about walking past the lawn mowers without a test drive.

Braums

We live very close to one and visit about 2Xs a week.

Young Chef's Academy

Amelia went to her cousin Jack's birthday party last weekend at the Young Chef's Academy. Jack is in the center back row of the picture above. She had a great time making a mess and also pizza.

Food with Fish

Amelia loves to eat at North Fork because they have a large aquarium that we spend most of our time looking at.

Alex Visits

Alex and William Oldfield came for a visit this weekend. The singing was great.
