Amelia and Rufus

Amelia just loves her dog.

She looks quite happy for someone receiving a bite. Rufus is actually very gentle with her.

Haircut

A few posts ago we saw Amelia with quite a mullet. I mentioned that her hair would be changing soon. We took her to get her hair cut and it was a huge disaster. She was immediately set off by the hair dryers. And don't even think about getting scissors near her head. But after a few hours with TaTa she now sports this super cute dutch boy look.

Leprechaun Cookies

Our little leprechaun made cookies this weekend with her TaTa.




All she really wanted to do was eat the sprinkles.

Modern Dress

Back off daycare dandies in your pink lace and frills, Amelia is coming through in her sleek and modern sailor striped dress from Auntie Steph. Mom also prefers the sailor stripe look so we need to get some matching outfits.

March Madness

Sorry that the Sooners are now out of the tournament. Amelia still has March Madness. Here she dunks on her new goal given to her by Kim and Pat.

Christmas Hat

This is an old picture I forgot to post from Christmas. Derek and Erica gave her this great hat which she is obviously taken with.

Also, today is her PaPa's birthday so she wishes him a great day. Here is a classic picture of the 2 of them.

Alex Visits

Amelia's friend Alex and his little brother William came to visit this weekend. These two had a great time and wore each other out. Amelia slept great that night.

Slide

She does love this slide. It takes at least 15-20 trips up and down to wear me out - but not her.

New Hood

Devoted AmeliaRose.blogspot viewers, here is the reason for our recent absence. Amelia and family just moved. We are all settled now and Amelia loves the playground just down the street from her house. We should be back on track now for regular posts.

AmeliaRose readers, I am sorry for the extended hiatus. It has been hard to keep up with the blog in the midst of our recent move. But we are reasonably settled in now so I do plan to continue the blog. I hope you are still interested.




Let's start things back up with miss mischief. Hope you aren't the cable guy coming to bury a line in our yard next week. Amelia has taken your safety into her own hands.

We Are Still Here

Sorry for the complete lack of posts for almost one month. We have been busy. But everything is fine. Amelia has been in good health and is growing like crazy. Hopefully someone is still checking this blog and we can start posting more pictures soon.

Santa Fe 2006

Amelia just returned from her annual Santa Fe trip to see Mike and Lynn Evans. See pictures from last year's trip here.


She had a wonderful time with Uncle Mike and was able to say his name in just a few hours. Auntie Lynn was her favorite peek-a-boo partner.

She made a new friend, Corbyn - great nephew of Mike and Lynn.

One of the few trips we took Amelia on was to Cerrillos, a ghost town on the Turquoise Trail. She enjoyed the petting zoo.

She also got some horseback riding practice in Cerrillos. We had a wonderful time, thanks Mike and Lynn.

Winter Nap

With all the excitement of Christmas Day, Amelia needed a nap.

Dora Tent

One of her favorite presents from TaTa was this Dora tent. Now we just need to expand our house to make room for it.

Christmas Day

Amelia started her day by tearing into her stocking.

Nutcracker

Amelia went to her first Nutcracker over the weekend. Amazingly she sat and watched most of the program, except for dancing in the aisle from time to time.

Early Christmas

Amelia got things kicked off early. The Segroves visited this weekend with a carload of presents just for you know who. She is excited about her first tricycle.

She also received a great horse

Aunt Brandi and Aunt Sabrina played well with Amelia.

Jacket As Cape

I taught her one of my favorite styles, wearing the jacket as a cape. Very dashing Amelia!

Santa's Helper

Amelia was a big help putting up the tree. She grabbed one of the first glass balls I put on the tree and quickly smashed it to the floor breaking it. So our tree is bare from the floor to about 4 feet. BTW our little helper went in for her 18 month checkup today and tipped the scales at 27.8 LBS and 34 inches tall.

The Frog Can Drive

Kim and Pat gave Amelia this awesome coupe for Halloween. She loved it and threw quite a fit when it was time to park and go to bed.

NEW MOVIE: Charlie & Amelia's Language

Amelia and Charlie have been in daycare together since they were very little. Charlie was Amelia's first friend at daycare. They quickly developed a special language. I captured a bit of it during the recent Halloween party. Charlie (dressed as Charlie Brown) also ends off the movie with a classic day care cough. Click here to view the movie. Amelia's Halloween Spectacular

I have a record number of pics from Amelia's first Halloween. She was about 4 months old last Halloween and was fast asleep for all the fun. Here we see our neighbor from across the street giving Amelia her first candy of the night.
